Performance Prep is offering 5 test prep options – three intensive small groups and two private instruction choices – for the verbal section of the SAT that will suit every student’s individual preferences.

Signature Small Group
OVERVIEW: Interactive SAT immersion led by expert test prep instructor Eileen Sullivan Studdert and capped at four students. Ideal for self-starters who will thrive in a small interactive setting with customized instruction.
Option 1: SAT READING INTENSIVE SMALL GROUP COURSE
Description: This course is dedicated to understanding the concepts and strategies necessary to get a top score on the reading section of the SAT. This class will focus on annotation, rhetorical, and passage strategies (including analyzing word choice, text structure, and reading graphs). Students will also learn to identify main ideas, understand similar themes, words, and phrases in context, and become familiar with patterns in questions and answer choices.
Sessions: Six 90-minute sessions (9 hours total)
Location: Virtual/ZOOM
Days/Dates – (choose from either a Wednesday or Saturday track):

Option 2: SAT WRITING INTENSIVE SMALL GROUP COURSE
Description: This course is dedicated to understanding the concepts and strategies necessary to get a top score on the writing section of the SAT. This class will focus on understanding and reinforcing standard English conventions (usage and mechanics) that comprise 50% of the questions on the SAT writing. Additionally, students will learn the strategies necessary to get more right answers on the other 50% of the writing questions that involve organization, style, and flow of ideas in a passage.
Sessions: Six 90-minute sessions (9 hours total)

Private Coaching
OVERVIEW: Working with students at their own pace over six sessions, expert test prep tutor Eileen Sullivan Studdert will help students to identify strength and challenge areas, customize lesson plans that pinpoint specific error patterns, and identify goals that will help them reach top test prep potential. Individualized goal-setting will be targeted to specific college lists to increase chances for early acceptance and merit scholarships. Ideal for students targeting a top score via individualized instruction.
